Welcome


Lisa and I would like to welcome you to Wedgwood the Restaurant.  And a great start to 2010 we've had too!  Out of almost 2,000 restaurants listed within Harden's UK Restaurant guide we are delighted to have just been named the UK’s Best Up and Coming Restaurant.  This accolade is one of only three awarded by Harden’s so it is extremely exciting for us.  Even more encouraging, the award was apparently due to diners who had visited us and reported back to Harden’s about their visit so a huge thank you for your support which is greatly appreciated.
 
We are truly passionate about food and wine together with the whole dining experience. Our aim when we opened in August 2007 was to create a restaurant which offered what we considered to be our own perfect night out in the perfect surroundings. Above all we aim to give you a relaxed and enjoyable evening with great food to match.
 
Scotland’s larder is certainly one of the best in the world so naturally we use locally sourced ingredients. Our aim is to prepare these in a creative and international style incorporating flavours from around the world.
 
Wine is another of our passions and we believe we have an interesting list which, like the menu changes with the seasons. The enjoyment of wine is all about sharing which is why I’ve picked out a few of my personal favourites from my own wine cellar to share with you.
 
There is also a good selection of locally produced ales and lagers together with aperitifs.
